May 8 marks the 81st anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in Europe following the surrender of Nazi Germany.
This day, together with the rest of the world, we honor the memory of those whose lives were taken by World War II (1939–1945).
Almost every Ukrainian family suffered significant losses during those years. According to various estimates, Ukraine lost between 8 and 10 million people.
Our memory of them will always remain alive and will be passed down from father to son, from grandfather to grandson, especially now that we are once again forced to witness the horrors of a new Nazi war.
Today, Ukrainians are once again paying a high price for freedom—defending their land, their independence, and their right to live in a free country.
We are grateful to every defender—on the front lines and in the rear—for their courage, strength, and resilience.
We remember!
We win!
